ETF Launch Research & Peer Analysis
Analyzed fund manager briefing notes and track-record data, compared the manager’s experience and existing products with peers, and translated relative strengths into content for an upcoming ETF launch.
My role Summer Intern · Dacheng Fund Management · July–August 2026
The business question
During my internship at Dacheng Fund Management, my project team was preparing promotional materials for a new actively managed ETF. My task was to examine the available information and identify how the fund manager’s experience and record could be communicated clearly, with support from data and peer comparisons.
My contribution
- Reviewed notes from the fund manager’s promotional briefings and analyzed the information and data provided.
- Examined the manager’s professional background and the record of existing products under their management, using peer comparisons to identify relative strengths.
- Synthesized qualitative information and quantitative evidence into a coherent account of those strengths for the team’s promotional content.
Deliverable and reflection
I brought the findings together into promotional content to support the team’s launch preparations. The task required me to decide which information mattered, interpret differences between peers, and connect analytical findings with a clear communication objective.
This experience strengthened my interest in consulting: breaking a broad business need into smaller questions, examining the evidence, and turning the findings into a practical deliverable.
